Jim was raised in Salem, OR. and he attended Sprague High School, graduating in 1986. After High School he went on to attend University of Oregon, graduating with his Bachelor of Science in Communications in 1990.

Jim’s first job after college was a position selling group benefits to large businesses with a Great-West Life in Seattle, WA. After a three years he returned to Salem to pursue his career with State Farm as an Agent in 1995. Jim opened his first Agency in Salem, then transferred to Bend in January of 1999.

Some of the Jims accomplishments since becoming an Agent include:

When not in the office Jim enjoys family time, working out, running, golf, fishing, and traveling. Jim is also the proud father of 3 children.
